Wood, String, Stone & Steel
Being an avid outdoorsman, I have great respect for the land and its natural materials. Through my travels as a rock climber and my job working for the Trail Maintenance Division of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, I became exposed to and experienced in stone masonry and embarked on a career working in it.

From 2002 to 2008 I was employed by Works in Stone, a company specializing in historic restoration and the repair and construction of foundations of stone houses, barns, chimneys, fireplaces, arches and corners.  In 2008, as work slowed for Works in Stone, I began gradually picking up my own projects, allowing me to start my own company- Wood String Stone & Steel.

Although I still do a healthy amount of restoration, my focus is in stone masonry and advanced stone techniques involving sculpture and polishing. A short list of those various creations are: interior installations, stone sinks, counter tops, patios, retaining walls, beehive ovens, exteriors, fireplaces, and kitchens. Modern masonry materials are also employed as projects often necessitate the use of concrete, cinder block and brick. In doing restorations, my skills have now expanded to encompass timber framing and advanced carpentry.
